Centurions
Centurions was founded by the late Colonel Henry Boardman in 1995 to serve as a cadre of Mississippi Gulf Coast Citizen leaders dedicated to the retention of the Coast’s military installations and presence. Additionally, the association provides financial support to the ongoing activities and programs of work of the Military Affairs Committees of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce including Gulfport and Biloxi. Membership is open to both Coast Chamber members and non-members.
Since 1995, the Centurions have made significant contributions which include:
- Helping fund the various activities of the Coast Chamber Military Affairs Committees
- Welcoming new Commanders to the Coast and saying farewell to those departing,
- Hosting junior enlisted members each year at the annual “Salute to the Military”
- Making annual contributions to a fund which exists for the sole purpose of preserving and
retaining the military installations on the Coast.
The benefits of Centurion membership include invitations to special military related functions and activities, special seating and recognition at certain military affairs activities, and special designation to wear at Chamber and military functions. But, the most important benefit of all is the satisfaction of knowing that you are showing your support and appreciation to our men and 
women in uniform.
